We've got something different on tap this week. We're doing a brewery spotlight, but not on a commercial brewery! This week, it's all about homebrew! Dave was kind enough to send four of his beers down for us to try, and on this episode, we talk about his brewery setup and taste all four beers. Homebrewing is an awesome hobby, and for anyone interested in craft beer, it's a great way to learn more about the craft. Listen in this week, as we taste some beer that can rival that of many commercial breweries. Plus, Dave has won major awards for his bottle labels (Grand Prize in the Brew Your Own label contest), so he's not only a talented brewer, but a great graphic artist. Got a favorite beer from your region? Send it our way and we'll try it on the show! Email us at podcast [at] davisondraft [dot] com. Sampled this week: Shark Bite Bitter, Captain IPA, The Abyss and Dave's Scottish Ale.
This week, we're taking a look at another specific brewery - Ninkasi Brewery, out of Oregon. A relatively new brewery, Ninkasi has quite a lineup of beer already. This week, we try three of them (all 22oz bottles, by the way): their Total Domination IPA, The Tricerihops Double IPA and the Believer Double Red. Special thanks to Don for sending these beers our way. In addition, listen to hear Mollie really muck up the tasting on this one - evidently, those Pacific Northwest labels are tough to read! Got a favorite beer from your region? Send it our way and we'll try it on the show! Email us at podcast [at] davisondraft [dot] com. Sampled this week: Ninkasi: Total Domination IPA, Tricerihops Double IPA, and Believer Red.
